why you shouldn't wear spanx in the summer.

Today I spent most of the work day in Miami.  It was lovely. We had a site visit to an incredible archaeological site right smack dab in the heart of downtown Miami.
My future apartment building which overlooks the Bay...I wish.
My co-workers chatting about the site
Usually during consultations or meetings we are strongly encouraged to wear our awesome work shirts with our office logo displayed gigantically over my left boob.  While many of my work shirts are polos (and I do love myself a polo), they are not that flattering. I'm still not at my ideal weight and tend to have some confidence issues with my stomach area so I decided that I would pull out my trusty spanx to help me feel better about having to wear my work shirt today.
Note to All:
If you live in an area that gets above 95 degrees and 100% humidity and have to stand outside at an archaeological site for 3 hours don't wear spanx.
Just don't do it.
While your silhouette may be seamless, you will be miserable and it will take every ounce of you to not peel them off in the on-site bathroom  porta-potty and stuff them into your purse.

Lesson learned.

Premier Night

Finally got around to posting these photos from the premier of Miami Boheme a few weeks ago!

Over 300 hundred people showed up to support the documentary and bands and overall it was a great and successful night! We feel so blessed that Bobby was able be a part of such a wonderful project!

The directors gave a nice shout out to Bobby when they were on stage introducing the documentary and his name pops up on the opening credits (how exciting!!)

Miami Boheme will be aired on national PBS in the upcoming months and I'll be sure to let you all know when.

CD Release Party

Last night was the result of hours and hours {and hours} of hard work.  The band Palo! held a concert for the release of their latest cd that Bobby mixed and mastered.  They always put on a great concert and last night was no exception.

I brought my friend Juan along and we had a great time-- seeing Bobby in his element, watching all of the Cuban women (young and old) in their stilettos dancing with their cigar smoking husbands, standing under twinkle lights on a perfect Miami night--

Miami Boheme

I don't brag about my husband enough on here, but today I'm going to!

For the past few months Bobby's life has been engulfed by several large projects.  And even though I never see him (*tear) I am so proud of him.  The final push for the completion of these projects is upon us and there is one in particular I wanted to share!

"A PBS documentary film about Miami's original Latin-fusion bands and the cutting-edge scene surrounding them. The film takes you to the clubs, where the beats of bands such as PALO!, Spam Allstars, Locos Por Juana, Suenalo, Elastic Bond and Afrobeta get you dancing!"

He is now super famous and can also be found on IMDb.
:)

Bobby works closely with the band PALO! and is also mixing their newest album.  They're a great Miami band that you should all check out!

Ok, that's all for now.
